Chewing simulation
Chewing simulation at Mawad Lab replicates the mechanical forces and wear experienced by dental restorations, implants, and biomaterials during mastication. Using the ROBOTA Chewing Simulator, samples are subjected to cyclic loading that mimics real-life chewing patterns, including various angles and forces.
This test evaluates material durability, wear resistance, and fatigue under conditions that closely resemble the oral environment. The simulator can accommodate multiple samples simultaneously, applying forces ranging from 10N to 400N with customizable antagonists such as rounded, flat, or pointed rods.
Chewing simulation provides essential data for optimizing the design and performance of dental materials, ensuring they can endure long-term use. Mawad Lab’s expertise and precision equipment deliver reliable insights for advancing innovation in biomaterials research.
